Walleye/Pickerel Fish Tacos – Taco Tuesday

We got a hold of an amazing fish taco recipe.  The recipe comes from a couple who are making a go at living off the land in Manitoba.  They harvest and forage for as much food as they can from the wild. Their blog at www.dansbois.ca is worth checking out if you are into that kind of thing.  There are plenty of ways to prepare your walleye, but this one has been in a weekly rotation here, and there’s a good chance you’ll end up loving it as well.  The recipe is simple, and uses a breading such as Fish Crip or Bakers Narrows Lodge Crispy Seasoned Coating.  Double coating the fish with a second dip in a well beaten egg make for some plump pieces of fried walleye.  The cumin kale salad used as a topping is a tangy, mouthwatering addition to the tacos.  The recipe calls for soft, real corn tortillas, but any hard or soft tortilla will work.
